The natural look

A residential development comprising of six standalone houses and a villa was built on the former site of the Horgen paper factory, which is now a sought-after residential area beautifully situated by Lake Zurich. The houses blend into the landscape up to the shores of the lake. The contemporary architecture merges the wall panels and floor slabs into a flawless facade. The treatment of the surface provides the exposed concrete with just the right look.

The wall panels of the facades are in characteristic exposed concrete. Their finish supports the development's harmonious inclusion within the surrounding lakeside landscape. To achieve this the concrete has been polished and waterproofed in advance. The exposed concrete has been treated in several steps with the earthy-tone glaze from the faceal Colour range. The faceal Colour technology preserves the typical look and characteristic feel of the concrete surface and gives it back its natural look.
